Testimonials

Hi Alison

A very big thank you for a lovely time on 5th June, I was very surprised at how enthusiastic my husband has become - could almost say addicted.

We are busy doing plans for a chicken house ready for when we move house.

Thank you again, look forward to seeing you again when we come and buy our chickens.

Basic Sewing Machine Skills £45

Brush up on your lapsed sewing machine skills (not touched a machine since you left school?) or learn a new skill which will enable you to do your own repairs or go on to make your own clothes!

The course is limited to a maximium of 2 as you will be given one-to-one tuition on how to wind a bobbin and thread the machine. You will be shown basic stiches and do some exercises to help you keep good control of guiding the fabric through the machine whilst controling the speed with the foot pedal.

Once you have mastered that you will make a useful apron to take home with you! All in all a very good way to spend a few hours.

The course lasts about 2 hours and the apron is included in the cost.

The next course dates are on the right hand side.

Email us from the Contact tab below to check availability and book your place. If you are on the Smallholding Skills website you can book online using the link under the course date on the right hand side.
